Job Summary

McKesson Retail Banner Group manages a portfolio of web platforms that provide patients across our network of some 2,000 independent pharmacies (Guardian, IDA, The Medicine Shoppe, Remedy’s Rx and Proxim) engaging and effective tools, functionalities and content to manage health conditions, drive better therapy adherence, and improve health outcomes.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Product Manager to join our team. In this role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Engagement (TBD), you will act as the owner of all our digital platforms, leading the development, delivery, maintenance, and support of the websites and mobile app, with the goal to ensure and maintain strong adoption and usage among patients and pharmacy owners.

Specific Responsibilities

Product Development

  • Shape business ideas into clearly stated technology needs to support expected benefits.

  • Align the IT strategy to the business strategy in the context of industry best practices and current technology trends.

  • Prioritize and plan the development and releases of website, intranet & app features.

  • Recommend, prioritize and plan product enhancements based on feedback from patients and advisory committees as well as competitive.

  • Build and manage project roadmaps.

  • Monitor and communicate project status, including monitoring project progression

  • Participate in selection and management of third party vendors.

  • Collaborate to development of statements of work, contracts, SLAs, etc.


  • Establish and maintain partnership relationship with the Marketing/Communication and IT groups’ key stakeholders.

  • Own the development, delivery and maintenance of the digital products by leading internal & external cross-functional teams.

Project Management

  • Define, document and prioritize user stories.

  • Groom and manage product backlog.

  • Participate is status and scrum meetings.

  • Lead and coordinate QA and user acceptance testing.

  • Collaborate with various teams (e.g. Marketing, Operations, etc.) to develop documentation and information, both internal and external.

  • Act as the primary contact for questions, status updates, issues, etc.

  • Collaborate with customer service centers to provide best in class service to pharmacies and patients.

  • Report regularly on the adoption and usage of the apps, as well as operational performance.

  • Manages and coaches Project Specialist (Consultant).

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business technology management or relevant discipline.

  • Strong technical skills, capable of learning/understanding new software quickly.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as product manager, product owner or systems analyst.

  • Overall understanding of digital marketing echo-system and technologies supporting the Marketing organization: intranet, web services, mobile technologies, etc.

  • Experience managing development teams.

  • Experience leading digital projects.

  • Working knowledge of iOS devices/operating systems, and understanding of general UI guidelines and best practices.

  • Experience working in Agile environments a strong asset.

  • Bilingualism with high proficiency in English (spoken and written).

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Smart, creative, driven and able to deliver results quickly in autonomous environment.

  • Self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with individuals at all levels and across functions.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Understands the retail industry.
