Our John Deere Dealership in Ponoka, AB is accepting resumes for a Parts Technician

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Technician is responsible for performing a variety of in-store customer service, marketing, promotional, advertising, and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts, accessories, wholegoods, and other materials of the branch.

Performance Expectations:
Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting, greeting and assisting incoming customers at the counter

Ensure professional and accurate preparation of quotes for customer service sales and service representatives and retail customers

Look up requested parts, determine availability and provide parts to the customers (internal & external)

Collect money or proper credit card transfer for the sale if required

Record sales and/or counter transactions

Supply Service Technicians with parts as required

Maintain a satisfactory level of current product knowledge

Ensure knowledge of and compliance with WHMIS

Unload/load and verify shipments, including placing machines, supplies, and stock orders in their proper inventory locations

Count inventory

Receive transfers from other dealer locations as quickly as possible

Check for damages or shortages when orders are received and notify the appropriate supervisor and/or person responsible to ensure a claim is made

Assist in maintaining all department tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order

Other duties as assigned by management

Critical Capabilities:
At least 1 year experience in Parts Department operations preferred along with working towards a parts journeyman certificate

Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions

Skilled at anticipating future needs and changes that occur in the warehouse

Ability to work extended hours and weekends

Excellent customer service skills

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Ability to analyze and interpret basic Parts Department reports
