ZHURI is the first interactive print magazine for creators and consumers of African luxury fashion, beauty and travel. Using AR technology our readers can access more digital content beyond what they see on the print pages. iOs and android user can add products into their shopping cart, watch videos, play music and more. By bridging the gap from offline to online, we’ve designed a 360° approach to content. Our core mission is to introduce African luxury to the global market by directly defining – what it looks like, where it comes from and where to buy it.

Social Media Manager

ZHURI magazine is looking for a part-time Social Media Manager to oversee the creation and maintenance of our social media strategy in order to drive awareness, traffic, engagement and conversion. The Social Media Manager works with editorial, ad sales, business development and marketing teams to support their respective objectives while ensuring consistency in ZHURI’s voice and tone. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for African luxury fashion, beauty,travel and home as well as a true lover for social media, entrepreneurship and developing creative partnerships and promotions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute social media strategies, guidelines, best practices and digital promotional campaigns
  • Help develop and manage Facebook, Instagram, Kickstarter and YouTube channel strategy
  • Write, schedule and coordinate daily social media posts across all social media channels
  • Defining and further developing the social media content calendar that will engage, grow and convert followers, integrating with marketing, editorial, and cross-channel promotions
  • Monitor SEO and analyze effective benchmarks for measuring impact of social media efforts in order to determine campaign effectiveness through relevant monitoring tools
  • Use social analytics tool to deliver reports on social growth and engagement
  • Defining social media needs for photo and video shoots
  • Create and manage blogger outreach program by identifying relevant blogs and engage in social conversations to provide reach for key launches, promotions and viral marketing efforts
  • Stay current with key industry trends, competitive insights and emerging social media / marketing / e-commerce technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of work experience as a Social Media Manager in the fashion industry
  • Understands luxury African fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends
  • Experience strategizing, implementing, and managing successful social media campaigns
  • Sound knowledge of social media channels including trends, analytics, best practices and paid media possibilities within social channels
  • Experience with Adobe suits including Photoshop and/or InDesign
  • Excellent copywriting skills in English
  • Ability to deliver creative content
  • A portfolio of at least 2 social media accounts candidate created/ and or maintained
