Zedi is recruiting an Embedded Hardware/Firmware Developer. As a member of our Platform Solutions department, the successful candidate is responsible for the design, documentation, development, and testing of new electronics and associated firmware. Working in a cross functional team in the areas of manufacturing engineering, electrical hardware engineering is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test and debug firmware systems with MSP430 MCUs

Responsible for conducting verification and validation tests and creating test reports

Create rapid firmware releases

Participate in design reviews and code reviews

Strong written and oral communications skills

To work in close partnership with the Hardware Team to research, develop and evaluate new solutions

Creating and maintaining technical documentation for both internal and customer use

Strong problem solving and debugging skills

Qualifications:
B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

P.Eng. Designation is an asset 5+ years of experience in firmware development. Familiarity with CCS is an asset

Experience in firmware programming with C/C++

Proven experience in embedded systems design with RTOS

Proficient in reading engineering drawings and schematics

Demonstrated ability to deliver on solutions and own development from concept through production launch

Ability to operate the standard test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to prioritize tasks

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

or proceed with Standard Application Form.
