Description Reporting to the Director, Special Projects initially, you will be responsible for working on a variety of initiatives to help fulfill the organization’s overall youth strategy. You will work in a fast paced collaborative environment with a primary focus on the key Top 20 Under 20 program. You will be responsible for managing and strengthening Plan’s youth engagement within the domestic market via a successful execution of the year long Top 20 under 20 program. The position is located in the Plan Toronto office. Responsibilities Act as the lead for the Top 20 Under 20 Program  Manage continued support of existing Top 20 Under 20 corporate sponsorships.  Work closely with the Corporate Sponsorship manager to secure 2-4 new coporate sponsors of the event.  Work closely to ensure that all key deliverables from corporate sponsorship agreements are executed.  Manage a Youth Engagement Specialist who reports directly to you.  Manage budgets and the planning process for Top 20 Under 20.  Develop creative ideas to strengthen the promotion of the award and the submission pool.

 Recruit judges and manage a professional and thorough judging process.

 Work closely with youth team to execute an informative and inspiring youth summit for award winners.

 Develop new ideas for refreshing the celebration event.

 Work closely with the corporate sponsorship team to strengthen table sales of the final event.

 Develop plans for on-going year 1 engagement of award winners.

 Develop plans to leverage the vast network of highly motivated, high achieving alumnae

 Lead the development of the digital plans for the program.

 Work closely with Communications team to develop opportunities for increased earned media of the program to drive awareness of Plan Canada and our domestic and international youth strategy.

 Be prepared to support other youth team initiatives as required including; presentations/events at schools, and relationship building with youth/school boards etc.

People The Manager position often will not have people leadership but rather be an individual Leadership and contributor as part of a wider team with specific accountabilities within a team. If individual Managerial is a people leader both team size, budget and projects/program scope will be at Responsibilities departmental level impact. Where individual is accountable for a team, this person is

directly responsible for the management of that team and is reflected on his/her performance framework at a minimum 10% of time. Budget and number of staff can be directly correlated to scope of portfolio. Role includes full accountability for recruitment,

hiring, setting performance expectations, and managing performance, promotion, demotion and discipline up to and including termination in line with organizational policy and adherence to legislative requirements including ESA and Human Rights Code. Leadership includes the management of: temporary, contract, intern, volunteer or permanent staff.

Skills/ Experience/  4+ years’ experience in marketing Qualifications  University degree  Proven track record of successfully managing programs including work plans, financials, monitoring and evaluation and reporting to sponsors.  Proven experience overseeing a budget planning process and management of projects.  Proven ability to collaborate with multiple departments on integrated campaigns/efforts/programs.  Proven experience with corporate relationship management and strong

presentation skills.

 Experience with event planning and logistics

 Resourcefulness, innovation and a passion for creativity.

 Adaptable creative and flexible.

 Self-driven, organized and results oriented with strong attention to detail as it relates to projects and budgets.

 Interest and passion in working with youth.

 Experience in digital and social media assets, given the tech savvy nature of youth

 Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
