Basic Function
• To assist, coach and support the Health and Wellness department to obtain goals and targets as set by the association
• To appreciate, role model and support the YMCA mission, vision and core values
• To demonstrate full energy, dedication and enthusiasm for high-quality member service.
• To thrive in an atmosphere of ongoing change and diversity
• To assist and provide leadership and direction to YMCA staff and volunteers

Responsibilities
• Customer Service: Provides fitness floor supervision, including greeting each Member by name whenever possible and servicing their fitness needs during scheduled shift.
• Provide hands-on leadership to the Health and Wellness staff and volunteer team through direct delivery of individual and group fitness
• Coordinate intake, placement, training and scheduling for all Health and Wellness staff and volunteers. Complete required document and record keeping in a timely manner
• Actively contribute to the Bob Hayward.
• Perform role of Duty Manager as required
• Lead role in completion of various administrative duties such as, program schedule, maintaining wellness appointment book, launching quarterly Ythrive and MOSSA events, adult rec programs
• Communication/Relationship Building

• Variety of shifts including early mornings, weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays

Salary/Wage: TBD

Qualifications & Experience

• Related education or certifications
• Proven ability to coach and support fellow staff/volunteers
• Demonstrated efficiency and accuracy of completed administrative tasks
• Experience in group fitness including a least one MOSSA certification
• First Aid and CPR
• Completed criminal reference check
• Exceptional communication skills, relationship-building skills and organizational skills
