A Little About Us
This role represents an opportunity to help drive one of the most respected sources of sports journalism in the world. A key component of an international team, Yahoo Canada Sports is among the top three most visited sports sites in the country, and is known for its industry-leading coverage of the sports and events that matter most to Canadians.
- Help uncover the sports stories that are of the greatest interest to our audience, both on- and off-network, and present them in the most engaging way possible.
- Being a key part of the editorial team in Canada, while working closely with our international partners in the U.S. and Europe
- Help support Yahoo Canada’s branding/PR initiatives on TV/radio; assist in growing and engaging our audience on social media
A Lot About You
We need a digital content producer with a passion for sports and a desire to innovate; someone who thinks mobile-first, can report, write, edit and shoot video, and is comfortable shifting seamlessly between each skill. The successful candidate is available to work nights and weekends as needed, appreciates the importance of social media, performance analytics and the benefits that come with being part of a global team.
You Must Have
3+ years of digital journalism experience. A passion for ideas, innovation and leveraging all forms of storytelling available to engage audiences . Proven experience and expertise with growing social media, using Adobe Photoshop, and producing original video.
