Under the supervision of the HR Director, the Payroll Technician will be responsible for the payroll of Canadian, American and European employees.
Responsible for the complete payroll cycle – including accounting entries in the ACCPAC system.
Answer any employee or manager questions relating to the payroll.
Take care of governmental remittances.
Produce different payroll reports.
Produce salary declaration reports for CNESST.
Ensure the validity of the data and year-end summaries. Produce reports and take care of year-start and year-end processes.
Participate in recurring year-end processes, annual salary augmentations, vacation payments, insurance renewals, internal and external verifications, etc.
Update employee files: end of employment, records of employment, RRSP participations, benefits calculations, etc.
Ensure the validity and reimbursement of monthly expense accounts.
Process the payment of commissions and bonuses.
Keep pay procedures manuals updated.
Organize professional activities, meetings, etc. as requested.
Create different administrative documents, as required.
Other related tasks related to office administration.
Certified with the Canadian Payroll Association is mandatory.
College degree (AEC or DEC) in administration, accounting, or other related domain.
Experience with the ADP payroll system [email protected] and [email protected] is an important asset.
2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Bilingualism is essential (written and spoken).
Good knowledge of the Office suite (particularly Excel).
Sense of autonomy and discretion.
Rigorous, precise and good judgment.
