Business administration degree/diploma from a recognized university /college required.

A certificate in Health Services Management [Red River College] an asset.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Familiarity with hospital computerized systems and interfaces.

Knowledge of MSI, Project Management, LEAN methodology an asset.

A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a health care facility, supervising front line, unionized staff preferred.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and monitor workflow, communicate, coach, motivate and instruct staff required.

Must be familiar with planning processes, procedure analysis, work study methods and process engineering concepts. Staff scheduling experience preferred.

Strong leadership skills including the ability to actively promote, develop and foster productivity, effective customer service and solid working relationships in a self-directed worker/teamwork environment.

Excellent customer service skills.

Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, define problem areas, recommend system solutions and organize, schedule and control multiple implementation projects.

Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have, or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time, a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to area of supervision.

Preference will be given to candidates competent in an Aboriginal language and/or knowledgeable in Aboriginal customs, beliefs, and practices.

Duties: As a supervisor with the Central Support Services relief team, you are able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and have the knowledge to manage resources to achieve patient safety and quality, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The supervisor is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading the support staff team in the delivery of quality services to our patient population. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
