The incumbent participates in the assembly of patient trays ensuring that the items on the trays are what is ordered on the menu ticket, works in a timely manner, and follows directions as to portion size and position on tray or plate.

Working in a cold environment for extended periods (between 3 degrees centigrade to 10 degrees centigrade). Standing 90% of shift. Pushing and pulling dollies to carry supplies from area to area within RDF. Ability to work at a fast pace to keep up with tray production (7-8 trays per minute). Proven ability to work in a coordinated fashion (hand, eye-coordination). Lifting of supplies to shelves within storage areas. Wearing thermal issued garments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba Standards, required.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Valid Food Handlers certificate.
• Previous experience in food service.
• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) an asset.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Completes tasks in a timely and organized manner.
• Demonstrated accuracy in duties related to clinical diet functions or needs.
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.

This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, a Child Abuse Registry Check and an Adult Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
