  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Business/Accounting Diploma from a recognized business college. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Typing minimum 45-50 wpm, demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook); General Ledger systems required.
  • Knowledge of ScanNet parking system and the Residential Tenancy Branch would be an asset.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in a computerized financial department, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Previous experience with parking operations, rental tenancy agreements, and reception required.
  • Experience dealing with the public in a friendly and pleasant manner required.
  • Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • P reference will be given to candidates competent in an Aboriginal language and/or knowledgeable in Aboriginal customs, beliefs, and practices.

This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, and an Adult Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.

Duties:

Reporting to the Business Manager, Ancillary Services, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operations within the Ancillary department, including: 1. Parking Operations 2.Rental Operations 3. Cashier/Reception functions, receiving and depositing funds received in Ancillary. 4. Communicating with clients either in person, by telephone or email in a friendly professional and timely manner.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Must have the ability to deal with stressful situations arising from day-to-day responsibilities in meeting critical deadlines. Arranges parking and tenancy rentals with staff. Ability to communicate with the public who may be difficult to deal with. Subject to frequent interruptions, lack of isolation in work area and use of computer terminals.

Salary : Effective April 1, 2011 – $18.063, $18.605, $19.164, $19.738, $20.331, $20.940 C.U.P.E. Contract
