The Accounts Payable Clerk, Level I is responsible for the timely and accurate payments to suppliers for goods and services acquired for the Winnipeg Health Region’s operations and for providing a database of information about payables and payments for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:
Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards required.

Completion of post-secondary computerized accounting courses within the last 8 years required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Minimum 1 year experience within the last 5 years on a computerized accounting environment required.

Typing speed minimum 50 wpm required.

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.

Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English language.

Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.

Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Must have the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and manage a large volume workload.

This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, and an Adult Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
