Project Manager – One (1) Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Capital Development, the Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the implementation of the Osler Capital Projects. In this role, the Project Manager will be required and/or responsible for the following:

” Manage the day-to-day activities associated with the implementation of the redevelopment project including liaison with hospital user groups, hospital management, contractor, municipality, Osler Foundation, Ministry of Health Capital team, and other stakeholder groups to ensure the project remains within developed project parameters.
” Implement project management process and best practice including budget, risk management and schedule control, occupancy planning and post occupancy evaluation.
” Participate/facilitate all project related meetings and conferences, including but not limited to OAC, Project Steering Committee, and others as necessary.
” Act as the primary liaison, through multiple communication venues, between Engineering, end-users, IPAC, OH&S, consultants and construction team to ensure client and hospital objectives are met throughout the construction and project close-out process.
” Facilitate logistics and implementation of new and transferred equipment requirements
” Facilitate RFP process to engage other services as required
” Ensure end-user decanting and relocation is planned and executed efficiently, effectively, and according to schedule.
” Collaborate with consultants to respond to requests for information and Shop Drawing submissions. Confirm project information (review of drawings, specifications, etc.); confirm payment authorizations, etc. to ensure all construction related activities and requests are addressed in a timely manner.
” Monitor construction activity and collaborate with consultants to ensure quality and safety are maintained at all times.
” Work in compliance with Infection Control standards, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contraventions in a timely manner.
” Work under own initiative to drive project processes while displaying energy and enthusiasm within the role and deliver projects on time and on budget.
” Provide direct PM support for other concurrent projects as required
” Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:
” College/University education required; PMPĀ® certification preferred.
” Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare construction project management relevant experience.
” Understanding of and experience with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care capital planning processes preferred
” Understanding of CCDC 2 and standard hospital supplemental conditions.
” Demonstrated project management skills, including development and monitoring of budgets and schedules.
” Understanding of CSA Z317.13 Infection control during construction, renovation, and maintenance of health care facilities
” Outstanding organization, priority setting and problem-solving skills.
” Demonstrated work in a team environment.
” Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
” Demonstrated computer skills, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project. Auto-Cad would be an asset.
” Ability to travel between all hospital campuses
