Job Posting Details HOURS: 4 hours Evenings and Weekends (may be required to works Days to cover sick/vacation)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Diploma in Office Administration or related field
  • 3-5 years recent related experience in a health care environment with a proven track record in supporting a team with multiple priorities
  • Medical terminology required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in OHIP billing, and invoicing for non-OHIP patients required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in hospital physician scheduling required
  • Demonstrated experience, setting up multi-media meetings with appropriate AV equipment required
  • Experience in “Bridging the Gap“ initiative
  • Proficient in Meditech, MSM medSchedule and Network MedTel
  • Advanced proficiency in computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
  • Typing skills of 60 wpm
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of a fast-paced department
  • Ability to work independently and interdependently
  • Excellent attendance & punctuality history

  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing and comprehension)

JOB SUMMARY:

Support to the group of Hospitalists and GIMs (approximately 25 physicians), including predictive discharges and rolling admissions. Responsible to create, distribute and maintain department schedules, daily patient and physician assignments, respond to all scheduling requests, data input for billing including OHIP, insurance providers and uninsured patients, reconcile billing submissions, complete remittance advice inquiries, collect statistical information on patient activity and physician handling and compile reports. Provide administrative support to hospitalists/physicians to ensure smooth operation of the department including correspondence and database management, meeting and conference calls scheduling and set up, minute taking, calendar management, ordering office supplies.

SALARY:
Minimum: $24.38

Maximum: $27.18
