Position Summary:
You will be responsible for the verification of work by Whistler Blackcomb’s revenue generating areas (Pass Administration, Reservations, Advanced Sales Centre, Whistler Heli Ski) section of Finance’s Audit Department, assisting the Senior Accountant – Sales Audit & Collections, overseeing seasonal staff completing the daily audit and doing project work. This position involves working in a fast-paced, positive, team environment.


  • Train seasonal sales audit revenue representatives on job duties, company policies and assist in performance reviews
  • Verify audit work to ensure accuracy and procedures are being followed
  • Continually identify training needs of audit representatives, provide additional training and feedback
  • Review of Over/short Report to ensure accuracy and monitor trending (daily) and submit monthly progress to departmental supervisors
  • Resolve escalated issues and provide basic explanation and feedback to relevant staff
  • Ensure daily audit work is completed by staff and deadlines are met
  • Troubleshooting of system, process problems and product issues
  • Reconciliation of orders and invoicing of school group events and summer glacier camps
  • Liaise with the Senior Accountant and co-workers on issues occurring throughout the season
  • Follow up with frontline and/or product driver on any reoccurring procedure issues, and develop and implement new processes to improve the efficiency of the department
  • Continually seek ways and implement new methods to improve all areas of accounting
  • Auditing daily work as required
  • Reconciliation of General Ledger clearing accounts
  • Office organization including supply ordering, filing, archiving of paperwork and liaise with IT department on any computer system problems to ensure smooth operations
  • Other special projects as assigned

  • Accounting education equivalent to 1st year CGA/CMA or relevant working experience
  • An eye for detail
  • Strong knowledge of MS applications
  • Previous Whistler Blackcomb experience (revenue generating areas) is an asset
