What does a Regional Director do at Western?

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, our Regional Directors are part of our network of retail branches across western Canada. This position is responsible for leading the Branch Managers in Saskatchewan. All our employees have a direct influence on our brand in the communities they serve, through the excellent service and support they provide.

Your success stems from your ability to effectively manage and support your team of managers to achieve established sales targets, while focusing on team engagement and development. Using sound business practices you will be responsible for ensuring your region aligns with Westerns Sales, Service and Management standards.

  • Lead the development of the long term sales strategy for Westerns products
  • Provide guidance and coaching by managing “in the moment” directives and understand the development needs of your team for succession planning
  • Guide the development and delivery of Westerns customer experience policies
  • Ensure the branches are compliant with all Western Operational Standards
  • Communicate and implement corporate initiatives and policies
  • Continue self-development through industry and leadership training and community involvement

  • General Insurance Level 3 License required
  • Experienced leader, with a proven track record of exceeding business goals and targets
  • Experience in recruitment, staff development and performance management
  • Involvement in industry related associations and your community
  • Proven history of professional communication, both written and verbal

Specifics:

  • Saskatchewan Region
  • Full Time – 37.5 hours/week
  • Monday – Friday schedule – work outside normal business hours may be required
  • 50% travel requirement
