Weir American Hydro is currently seeking a self-motivated driven individual with a proven track record in hydro turbines, power generation equipment and other rotating and industrial equipment for the position of Sales Manager. The ideal candidate should have basic technical and expanded commercial experience with a sound knowledge of the power and industrial equipment and service industry. The candidate will manage and expand our customer base and develop and promote sustained sales growth to achieve company sales objectives. Fluently bilingual (English and French) in both written and verbal communication.
Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

Achieve sales turnover and profitability in line with company objectives
Develop and execute market entry plan, including short, medium and long term objectives
Assist with the identification of and collecting information on potential alliance and OEM partners
Implement market share capture strategy to expand customer base in line with set targets
Develop and drive a sales strategy to expand Weir’s Hydro market share in Quebec
Identify key project opportunities and engage internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver winning strategies
Build relationships with key personnel (decision makers) across the target customer group
Work with the Sales team to tailor marketing strategy for the regions, including organising technical forums, participating in exhibitions, etc. to raise company profile
Benchmark competitor landscape and develop market intelligence on an ongoing basis
Develop Key Account Management plans for target customers along with relationship matrices to harness the full potential of each customer account. Prepare customer database installation lists/ asset registers
Understand customer needs and drive the business to deliver to committed promises
Prepare presentations and proposals to obtain new orders including proper review of customer specifications and commercial requirements
Coordinate and resolve customer service issues in a manner that retains the customer and provides opportunity for additional revenue in the future
Submits monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and sales budgets
Serves as a resource for less experienced direct sales staff and provides necessary training
Develop Sales team members to their maximum potential, both individually and as a team
Manpower planning for future expansion and growth
Conduct Performance Appraisals for the sales team
Ensure completion of customer satisfaction reports through NPS and otherwise
Interact with the operations department to ensure that customer needs are met
Establish KPIs for the department and other department staff
Measurements:
Meeting and exceeding performance benchmarks (revenue/profit targets)
Analysis of sales pipeline, conversion ratio and account development
New account acquisitions

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor’sdegree with five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of hydro turbines, power generating equipment and other rotating and industrial equipment required.
Language: Fluently bilingual (English and French) in both written and verbal communication. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office software (Powerpoint, Excel, Word).
Other Qualifications Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment; must be able to read drawings and schematics; must be able to travel up to 30% of the time. Must present professionalism in appearance and work ethic. Must be able work independently, exercising judgment and initiative, remaining flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in certain areas of the facility or client visits.
