Recruitment Coordinator – Winnipeg
PRIMARY FOCUS
We Care Health Services/CBI Health group has an opening for a Recruitment Coordinator!
This position is great for an entry-level HR professional who is a self-starter and looking to grow in their career.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, Human Resources the Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for HR activity within their operational division and ensures that any HR function including recruitment, employee engagement, performance management and safety meet or exceed the business objectives set out. The position will be as follows; approximately 70% of the time is spent recruiting and onboarding. The remaining 30% of the responsibilities are generalist duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recruiting

  • Uses a variety of techniques to attract candidates in a timely fashion to meet client needs
  • Conducts interviews to assess candidates for suitability
  • Conducts reference checks for suitable candidates
  • Prepares letters of offer and other paperwork for selected candidates
  • Hires unregulated and regulated staff as per business requirements
  • Coordinate advertising and monitor costs within the approved budget
  • 2. Orientation/Onboarding

  • Prepares for and conducts monthly orientation sessions for new field staff
  • Updates orientation PowerPoint as necessary
  • Enters new staff into company HRIS
  • Submits paperwork for new office and field staff hires 3. OHS
  • Participates in monthly OHS regional committee meetings
  • Complete injury reports and follows up with injured staff to ensure back to work program in place
  • 4. Training

  • Conducts new hire training for office and field staff
  • Helps develop other training programs as needed
  • 5. Other Duties

  • Employee Filing
  • Travel to different offices via car and air on a as needed basis
  • Completing payroll timesheets and timekeeping
  • Act as a resource to office and field employees regarding all HR related issues
  • Miscellaneous projects
  • Other duties as assigned
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3-6 months previous HR experience, new grads will be considered
  • CHRP in progress, considered an asset
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers licence
  • Ability to travel to different provinces
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and the ability to learn other programs specific to the business.
  • Experience with community health care, considered an asset
  • Knowledge of all relevant employment legislations and industry best practices for the provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ office experience, considered an asset
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Desire to learn and grow within HR
  • Dependable, self-starter – ability to work with little supervision. Can take a project and complete it without needing reminders.
