We are looking for a contract SQL Database Developer that has some basic DBA experience. It would be nice if you also have exposure to MS Dynamics (CRM) Sharepoint. Solid database SQL (Environment 2008R2 and 2014) knowledge experience (data model design, SSRS, SSIS, ETL) is required. A solid understanding of data security and maintenance procedures is preferred.

Required Experience (min 3-5 years)

  • SQL database related to web-based application development
  • Data Model Design
  • ETL, SSIS, SSRS
  • MS SQL Server database administration
  • Distributed, multi-tiered application development in a team environment
  • Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Management.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2014, SSIS, Reporting Services, Transact-SQL.
  • SQL development scripting skills including stored procedures, functions and complex ETL packages.
  • Understanding of database deployment process and performance impact assessment.
  • Solid understanding of data security and maintenance procedures.
  • Works with Systems and Development teams to design, implement, maintain, scale and tune SQL Server database systems.
  • Developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, etc.) using Microsoft SSRS or other reporting tools like Crystal Reports.
  • Translate project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI reports and applications.
  • Familiar with SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Expertise in the design, construction and management of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions
  • Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques.
