This position is responsible for supervising the daily activities of Loss Prevention associates to ensure all Walmart Canada Logistics programs, policies and procedures are adhered to. Loss Prevention Team Leaders will assume a leadership role in the most serious incidents and oversee subsequent investigations which may include liaison with site management teams as well as OH&S and Emergency Services.

Position Responsibilities

1.Exhibit the desired behaviors that support our mission and values

2.Support Walmart Canada Logistics safety culture, environmental and safety programs and processes specific to the business at Site level. This includes walks through the warehouse to ensure associates comply with safe working practices.

3.Complete and support internal and external reports systems relating to payroll, administration, risk management and health and safety.

4.Investigates and reports incidents including accidents, injuries, complaints, near misses, misconduct, infractions, and other violations of company policies and procedures.

5.Liaises with all site management as required and provides support on the application of legislation and safe work practices and procedures.

6.Support site security measures including the supervision of regular interior and exterior patrols; participate in security programs and loss deterrent strategies.

7.Track incident reports as required for completeness and compliance against established standards to determine root cause and corrective preventative actions.

8.Participates in regular meetings to address safety concerns related to the health and safety program

9.Be able to assist in departmental training programs and ensure their effective implementation.

1. Previous experience in health and safety, security or policing an asset

2. 5+ years management/supervisor experience

3. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

4. Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as general computer skills

5. Emergency and crisis management experience is considered an asset to this position.

6. Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Law, Occupational Hygiene

7. Strong administrative and analytical problem solving skills

8. Goal focused with demonstrated ability to manage multiple task/projects in a fast paced environment with a high attention to detail

9. Able to troubleshoot issues, anticipate problems and make logical decisions.

10. Strong organizational skills, as well as being oriented to accuracy and detail.

10. Demonstrate proficiency in team management skills, conflict management and customer service

Licensing & Other Qualifications

  • Able to work in a typical office environment as well as be exposed to all areas of the warehouse where exposure to machines and low level noise, equipment, and changes in temperature
