An In-Store Loss Prevention Associate creates and maintains a secure and effective work environment for all customers, associates, visitors and vendors while demonstrating positive and professional behaviour at all times, preventing losses and making arrests for shoplifting, fraud, etc.

• Practicing the 3 meter Attitude.
• Ensuring store security by making daily patrols of the facility.
• Making necessary arrests every day (shoplifting/fraud).
• Participating as a member of the safety committee, playing an active role particularly by administering first aid.
• Using short circuit television systems and keeping them running in proper working order.
• Completing written arrest reports with submission online.
• Creating and maintaining a secure work environment for all associates, visitors and vendors.
• Participating as a member of the Joint Health and Safety committee.
• Supervising store evacuation procedures in case of fire or other emergency.
• Supporting the District Loss Prevention Manager in investigating files.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adheres to all company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Basic Reading/Writing Skills

• Ability to understand the meaning of written or printed matter and to record information by inscribing characters or symbols.

The Associate must complete all Wal-Mart Basic and Advanced Training Modules and classes
