Company Core Duties

  • Ensure that work is conducted in a safe manner. Report unsafe practices.
  • Ensure that company values and policies are understood and adhered to.

Position Broad Duties (WCBC)

  • Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks which require knowledge of fabrication, tools, materials and equipment.
  • Assembles detailed small to medium size units with many parts or large units with very few parts.
  • To meet operational requirements, may need to make adjustments and fittings.
  • May work from blueprints, rough sketches or manuals.

Position Specific Duties (VMAC)

  • Assemble new compressors, hoses, tanks, mechanical throttles, inlet valves and other mechanical components
  • Follow current Drawings when assembling product
  • Rebuild and repair products where required
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks
  • Improve efficiency and quality assembly processes
  • Capable of reading detailed assembly drawings
  • Follow Production Schedule and prioritize daily work accordingly – communicate any bottlenecks or flow problems to your supervisor
  • Test and identify all assembled Products where required
  • Liaise with Parts department in a timely manner to ensure adequate supply of parts.
  • Report on spoilage, stock damage, shrinkage and inventory inaccuracies
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on outages, low or overstock quantities
  • Ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing goods
  • Participate in periodic physical inventory counts
  • Participate in the development and implementation of department objectives
  • Liaise with other departments internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as required
  • Prepare reports as required for make stock.
  • Liaise with other departments internally specifically Customer Care to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work from Drawings and BOM’s to assemble product.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications / Education / Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Lean Manufacturing at a working level
