The Inbound/Outbound Logistics Coordinator provides support to the Canadian Logistics Manager in areas concerning domestic and international transportation in support of the Wholesale, Retail, E-com, DTC and internal business units (Customer Service, DC Personnel, Customs Compliance and Operations. Domestic transportation focus includes outbound shipments from VF distribution centers, returns, and intercompany transfers. Inbound international transportation focus on container management from Ocean to door and inbound USA and Mexico shipments. Manage and maintain SOP’s related to Canadian destination expectations. Act as a Super User for SAP/CASS, GTN systems. Manage inbound freight to the Brampton DC. Work with Planning, Customer Service and Receiving groups to deliver/receive freight by order priority. Work closely with DC employees, steamship lines, freight forwarders, Custom Brokers and trucking companies. Communicate with the VF Asia and Montreal offices to ensure smooth movement of freight and system updates for inbound shipments. Resolve transportation issues associated with carriers both inbound and outbound. Establish and monitor carrier service metrics and provide such data through a regular reporting matrix. Support DC and business units with international/export shipment documentation and routing. Manage inbound drayage reporting and scheduling when needed. Liaise with customs broker and freight carriers when needed. Participate in spot quotes with carriers for USA inbound business. Reviews, audits and approves freight invoices as received by steamship lines, trucking companies, couriers, and freight forwarders. Advises Accounts payable of disputed invoices. Supports manager and team in all activities both in and out bound. Provides insights and suggestions for the business to meet and exceed its target objectives. Independent and self-monitoring as supervision is remote but interacts daily. Any other logistics work deemed necessary by the business. JOB REQUIREMENTS Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 Educational/Position Requirements: Bacherlor’s degree in Business, Operations or equivalent Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail Knowledge and experience with carrier service coverage, delivery standards and rates Knowledge of tracking and tracing shipment Knowledge of inbound/outbound logistics and carrier operations (Ocean, rail, air and ground transportation) Demonstrate an above average knowledge of analytical tools including Excel (Pivot tables and V Loop Up) Possess a strong working knowledge of operations management systems including WMS, GTNexus, SAP and PkMS Possess an ability to work in a team environment in pressure situations within changing demands and time constraints
