Hours: Flexibility to accommodate operational needs during days, evenings, nights and weekends
Job Purpose:
The Customer Order Representative is responsible for ensuring that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction are always maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with customers over the phone and through email to meet all of their needs, responding in a timely manner.
- Processes and inputs customer orders using Warehouse Management System software. This includes running stock reports to check for product availability, generating work orders and checking all orders for special requests.
- Compiles sorts and verifies the accuracy of data before it is entered in the system.
- Maintain records by accurately matching orders to correct paperwork and back up.
- Prepares and creates warehouse receipts.
- Trouble shoots inventory issues as needed.
- Traces orders as required and notifies customers of activity regarding their product.
- Prepares Truck Load Lists and Bills of Lading for all outbound orders, with a focus on the Versacold Distribution trucks leaving in the late evening.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Strong communication skills; written, listening and verbal.
- Able to accurately key data at a high pace
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among sets of letters, numbers;
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
- Works well in a team environment and can also work independently.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize work flow to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Minimum high school graduation; related post-secondary training an asset.
