Opportunity Type: Contract

Duration: 4 Months

Our leading telecommunications client is currently looking for an experienced professional to fill a Project Manager position through until December 2015. The key responsibility for the role will be planning and executing media events in locations throughout in Alberta and a few in BC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating event activities with cross functional teams across multiple segments, executing as planned and manage a budget.

Responsibilities

Responsible for project managing the end to end execution of specific media events in various locations in Alberta and BC

Manage and be accountable for budgets, work plans, documentation, execution and analysis of program

Build a strategy for the events with specific focus on site locations, theme of message and schedule.

Lead a cross functional team to manage activities and execute as planned.

Required Skills & Abilities

Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal skills with a results-oriented approach

Results-driven: Demonstrated ability to deliver on time and on budget

Collaboration: Foster a high performance culture and business atmosphere of collaboration and partnership with cross functional teams showing strong ability to overcome resistance, solve problems, and motivate people to take action.

Communication: Excellent communication (written, verbal) and presentation skills

Proven ability to make strategic recommendations on gap closure initiatives, secure alignment and budget

Experience with the development and execution of events

Desire to “roll up your sleeves” to get things done

Flexibility to travel across Western Canada as required

Required Experience

5+ years progressive experience in Marketing and business management positions

Strong project management skills

Corporate event planning experience

Multitasking and organizational talent

Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Telecom/industry experience and exposure to a variety of marketing roles would be beneficial
