Job Summary

Reporting to the Leader, Transformation, Change & Innovation, the Advisor acts as an internal specialist to the organization for organizational development and change management processes, strategies and leads projects that are directed at identifying and recognizing current patterns across the system.

You will partner with senior management to develop and implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness in support of the strategic goals of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) which will include implementing interventions such as change initiatives, strategy and planning facilitation, process re-design, role clarification, team building and leadership development to specific function areas across the organization.

Duties will include:
Developing organizational development and change management practices, standards, guidelines, process and tools for the organization and facilitat ing the development of skills within the organization’s teams needed to implement them.
Provid ing leadership in the development and implementation of strategic and operational initiatives designed to strengthen organizational and systems effectiveness from the identification of change initiatives through to planning, implementation, integration, evaluation and ongoing monitoring to ensure successful project completion and sustainment.
Partner ing with senior leaders and teams in designing and implementing change processes that engage stakeholders appropriately from initiation to integration of changes.
Facilitat ing learning and deliver ing educational sessions aligned with successful management and integration of change.
Evaluat ing organizational development and change management initiatives to ensure outcomes meet organizational needs and client satisfaction.
Conduct ing operational reviews, feasibility studies, business cases, needs assessments and environmental analyses to identify viable options and projects.

Qualifications and Expertise:
Qualifications:
Masters degree in a relevant discipline such as Health or Business Administration, Leadership or Organizational Development plus seven (7) years’ recent, related experience in change management, organizational development and/or project management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge of the health care system is an asset.

Expertise:
Strong ability to provide senior advisory services and consultation to leaders throughout VCH utilizing strong communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence.
Demonstrated experieence utilizing organizational development and change management principles and best practices to develop and oversee change initiatives.
Comprehensive knowledge and skill in operational management, change management and leadership development as well as an understanding of health care disciplines and networking abilities to provide high level consulting services.
Strong experience in the application of project management methodologies in the design and development of various programs, frameworks and tools.
Ability to maintains current knowledge of new developments, trends and research in organizational and leadership development, rewards and recognition, change management, and recommends/implements best practices accordingly.
Superior judgment and political expertise to communicate sensitive information to, and collaborate with, a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Superior team building, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills to facilitate critical thinking and problem resolution.
Ability to foster creativity and innovation in strategic planning involving cultural shifts and large scale change.
Applicatino of risk mitigation tactics to proactively identify and analyze areas of concern.
