Responsibilities

The Utility Worker (Dish Room) delivers friendly customer service and works in a team environment to serve meals to staff and visitors; delivers supplies to work areas; assists in preparation, assembly and portioning of food items; cleans equipment, utensils, dishes and work areas throughout the department. Is responsible to deliver food to satellite outlets, and for the smooth and efficient delivery of caterings. It is expected that all duties are performed in a professional manner and in a collaborative team effort to achieve proper customer service levels and the economical goals and objectives of restaurant services.

Qualifications

* Grade 12 or GED required
* Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
* Effective communication skills
* Previous food/restaurant experience preferred
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Proven interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with minimum supervision
* Competencies in other languages an asset, French is preferred

*Frequent physical demands include extensive standing and walking, repetitive motion, bending, lifting, pulling and pushing and transferring and transporting equipment. Additionally, this position involves regular exposure to chemicals, hot and cold areas and noise.

Salary

Utility Worker (F&N):
$15.9417 – $16.6059 hourly
