We recently allocated new spots in our January intake for our Internship program.

As an UP Agency Social Media Intern, you’ll join a team of awesome analysts and social media gurus working to uncover the next big thing in advertising.

Do you think you’re ready to jump into the challenging world of social media and strategy?

UP Agency is looking for 2 full-time Social Media Interns to join the team in January for a 4 month term. This internship is open to anyone—student or otherwise—eager to gain the hands-on experience necessary to begin a career in social media & digital marketing.

You’ll work on real projects with real clients and develop important skills in brainstorming, teamwork, research and analysis.

You should be comfortable with all forms of social media and be able to spend around 30 hours a week working at our Burlington office.

The experience you gain:

• Collaborating and implementing of high-impact marketing strategies to generate demand and qualified leads.
• Writing blog posts, researching relevant topics, and assisting with content calendar
• Managing social profiles and keep an engaging presence on the web
• Helping with SEO via link building, guest blogging, and content opportunities
• Assisting in the execution of campaigns and posts across 5+ platforms,
• Write, produce, and create compelling content for each channel
• Daily monitoring of social media presence and social media outreach.

What we are looking for:

• A self-starter who is passionate about marketing
• Ability to work with a small team and independently in a fast paced environment.
• Strong writing and excellent communication skills
• Loves Blogging, Loves social even more
• Experience with Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest)
• Excited about working with a small team in a Start-Up environment
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Recent college graduate or senior year in college program

Requirements

• Education: Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications or relevant field
• Must own a Mac or Windows based PC or laptop
• Must have a proven ability to create compelling content
• Located in Ontario and can work from our office in Burlington, ON
• Has acquired a good working knowledge of Social Media
• Experience using Instagram, Snapchat & Twitter a plus

Commitment: 30 hours / week

Duration : 4 months

Salary: Non-Paid Internship / School Credit Available
