Our HR Advisors have the unique opportunity to learn and develop expertise as an HR generalist in labour and employee relations, specifically collective agreement and legislation interpretation and application, performance management and attendance support, progressive discipline, coaching and feedback. Additional areas of development and advisory support to clients include recruitment, compensation/total rewards, benefits and information management. Ensuring that programs, services and policies are aligned with the University’s strategic directions, our HR Advisors provide exemplary client service, research and analysis, implementation and administration of related programs and services, and they actively participate in development and delivery of programs for organizational effectiveness.
Working collaboratively with HR, the Advisors will work exclusively within the College of Medicine to provide advisory support to the college and receive opportunities to support initiatives that contribute to advancing the College’s strategic goals.
To qualify for this position, you must possess a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or in a related field, along with minimum of one to three years of experience in the human resources profession preferably in the Health Care sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Working towards a CHRP designation is an asset. The position requires the following:

effective verbal and written communication skills;
a demonstrated client-service orientation;
an ability and eagerness to work collaboratively as a member of a team;
a curious nature that inspires you to seek out and identify trends and issues and recommend innovative solutions with confidence;
demonstrate an understanding of human resources best practices and a commitment to learning; and
exhibit competency in the areas of leadership/vision, support for progress, results orientation, personal effectiveness, communication, and relationship building.
The salary range for this position is $49,500 to $80,000 per annum. The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The University of Saskatchewan offers comprehensive benefits, strong opportunities for learning and career growth, and a health and wellness program.
