Position Title
Athletics Event Assistant

Salary Range
$3,059.12 – $3,671.85 monthly

Work Hours:
This position requires a flexible schedule, due to the nature of the work. The Athletic Assistant’s work week is typically Tuesday to Saturday, 7 hour work days that flex to accommodate scheduled games and events.

Position Summary
The Athletics position will assist/support the Athletics Coordinator, Events and Sponsorship with duties related to University of Regina Athletics. This includes:

This individual will assist with the University of Regina Athletics ticket
– Season Tickets
– Community Tickets
– Sponsors Tickets
– Cougar packs
– Game Day tickets
– Group tickets
– Assist in marketing of the University of Regina tickets to internal as well as external communities
– Tracking of all the University of Regina ticket sales
– Preparation and distribution of all mail-outs;

Community Programs:
This individual will assist in delivery of community programs within Athletics (such as Cougar for a day, 3-4-5 Fun League, RCBA game nights, Regina Soccer game nights, SVA Nights)
– Call and track community participants
– Distribute University of Regina Athletics camp information and electronic tickets to attend the game
– Assist in organizing the Red Cross orientation for University of Regina athletes to become ambassadors in the community
– Assist in scheduling all the athletes into the non-profit sports organizations to do their talks
– Updating, creating advertising for game day events in the university residences;

– Assist with all non-conference games hosted by the University of Regina Athletics;
– Assist with University of Regina Athletics events for soccer, women’s hockey and volleyball;
– Assist with creating playlists, updating the music and making it available for game staff;
– Assist with all promotional aspects in regards to the events;
– Video taping and assisting with faculty events when required;
– Assist in uploading all video through vidswap and train staff on vidswap to make sure it is submitted correctly;
– Prepare all scripts for weekend events.

– assist in selling sponsorship;
– collect in game announcements from sponsors;
– collect in game prizing from sponsors;
– assist in creating new inventory;
– assist in renewals;
– assist in finding new money.

Nike Pop-Up Store:
– will assist with the Nike pop-up store;
– assist in tracking inventory;
– assist in selling the University of Regina Cougar Clothing at games and as well on campus;
– assist in training staff for the Nike Pop Up store.

– Two year business/office education program or equivalent;
– One year working in a varsity athletics program environment;
– Demonstrated event experience;
– Demonstrated work experience with process of sponsor prospecting and maintenance;
– Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
– Knowledge of ticket sales software preferred.
