Located in beautiful Charlottetown, PEI, the University of Prince Edward Island enjoys a prominent position as the Province’s only university and as a centre for intellectual, social, cultural, and economic activity. Home to five Canada Research Chairs, a Canada Excellence Research Chair in Aquatic Epidemiology, and six 3M Teaching Fellows, UPEI is one of Atlantic Canada’s finest universities, and a significant contributor to the region. The University has seen dramatic and exciting growth over the last several years. With over 900 graduate students, UPEI has the third largest graduate program in the Maritimes. A thriving and diverse community, it has tripled the number of international students since 2011. Two exciting new schools (both located within the Faculty of Science) have opened in the past year – the School of Sustainable Design Engineering (with a brand new flagship facility) and the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences.
