Provides advisory services to corporate or strategic HR managers within a designated faculty or service involving organisational and job design, recruitment and selection, classification, performance and development management, labour relations, training and development, benefits, occupational health and safety, and other HR functions. Provides input to integrate HR-related policies and processes into the strategic direction and initiatives. Analyzes problems and issues, recommends appropriate responses and implements solutions. Works with the management team to address HR needs by analyzing short-, medium- and long-term requirements, implementing best practices, making recommendations, developing plans to address issues and monitoring results. Acts as the primary point of contact between central Human Resources and the Faculty.

Essential Qualifications
Knowledge of human resources (recruitment and staffing, classification, job evaluation, compensation and performance evaluation) normally acquired through postsecondary education or equivalent experience
Minimum of three years of experience in HR and the following disciplines: organizational development and job design (review, needs analysis, job description writing, etc.)
Experience in change management
Knowledge and experience in the application of HR practices and legislation
Knowledge of HR management challenges, trends and practices
Knowledge and experience in the application and interpretation of collective agreements
Knowledge of computer systems and software such as Windows, word processors, spreadsheets, databases, email and the Internet
Experience in analysis and problem-solving

Note
Temporary assignment or contract of 24 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits will be determined upon hiring. This position is excluded from all union accreditation units.
