Closely monitors financial results relating to student accounts. Analyses and reconciles financial information for the Student Accounts section. Provides expert advice on the analyses, accounting and reconciliation of student accounts for internal and external clients. Provides expert advice on accounting for the section; prepares the financial statement; develops, maintains and analyses the scorecard on the financial status of Student Accounts. Measures the financial performance of Student Accounts, writes financial statements, develops strategies and exerts a positive influence on the internal and external environments in order to maximize revenues and optimize the Universitys operating fund. Analyses and prepares various financial statements and statistics on Student Accounts including the amounts to be deposited for fees to student associations and other groups. Coordinates the financial management of various agreements that require internal and external agencies to be billed directly. Regularly monitors, audits and follows up on financial transactions related to such agreements. Creates and updates procedures involved in mentoring students.
Essential Qualifications
Good knowledge of accounting normally acquired through post-secondary training and several years relevant experience. Professional accreditation as a CA, CMA or CGA would be an asset.
Experience in financial management using complex financial systems. Experience in using information systems and software such as Banner, SIS, Microsoft Suite, Windows, databases, email and others
Experience in analysing and monitoring financial data, and excellent analytical skills.
Experience in interpreting, communicating and applying policies and procedures.
Administrative writing experience
Interpersonal skills and experience in working in a team setting. Excellent ability to communicate clearly, simplify complex concepts and exert a positive influence.
Experience in working in an customer-focused environment and experience in providing customer service and support.
Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written)

Note
Temporary assignment or contract of 12 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits and union affiliation will be determined upon hiring
