Develops and implements communications plans to support the activities of the Office of the Registrar. Creates communication products, including print and electronic publications, website content, email and text message campaigns as well as advertising copy. Conducts related research and coordinates production activities. Evaluates the impact of communications plans and tools (surveys, consultations, etc.) to ensure they best meet the clients objectives and expectations.
Extensive knowledge of communications and writing, publishing, editing and translation normally acquired through postsecondary education, or equivalent experience, in either official language
Knowledge of the publishing field and the production process as well as website development tied to recruitment strategies
Knowledge of Ontario high school curriculum and Canadian secondary and postsecondary education systems
Experience developing and implementing communications plans using a variety of media (new and traditional)
Experience using computer applications such as word processing software, databases, spreadsheets as well as the Internet, email distribution tools, client relations management tools, Web content management tools, project management tools, etc.
Experience using databases to support communication projects (Web-based, email and text campaigns, print publications)
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Proven ability to write and publish promotional materials and to carry out the necessary research, with particular attention to detail and the accuracy of the information
Ability to introduce new ideas and ensure their implementation, to exercise leadership in the creative process and to successfully carry out projects
Good understanding of client needs, groups served and reasons for pursuing a university education
Excellent ability to speak and write both French and English

Contract of approximately 12 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits and union affiliation will be determined upon hiring.
