Job Description :

Instructor Position Strategic Human Resource Planning HRM 0126 Extended Education is seeking an experienced, academically credentialed, subject matter expert to instruct Strategic Human Resource Planning. In pursuit of sustainable competitive advantage, human resources play an integral role in achieving the future direction of strategic business objectives. The human resource area not only guides and supports employees and managers through the process; they also filter change across all functions of the organization. Strategic human resource planning enhances organizational performance by providing a unified focus and communicating performance expectations to employees. In the current ‘innovate or die’ business environment, maximizing performance helps businesses staff ahead of the competition.

Responsibilities :

The responsibilities of the position include in-class instruction to adult learners, student assessment including grading and providing supplementary curriculum resources. Access to a personal computer is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications :

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a suitable combination of post-secondary education, professional certification and work experience in the applicable field. In addition, applicants should have experience in adult learning and teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized. Applicants must be committed to life-long learning and embrace a learner-centered approach to teaching. The ability to engage students in their learning environment and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of the position. Assets also include experience instructing at a post-secondary level, using teaching and learning technology (e.g. UMLearn), and demonstrated leadership skills.
