Responsibilities :

This course prepares students for the Project Management Professional Exam. Students will learn terminology, tools and techniques required to take a project through all process phases from initiating to planning and executing. In addition, and overview of key concepts from the Project Management Institute’s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guide. The responsibilities of the position include: º Creating original student assessments and exams including alternate exams as required; º Grading and returning of exams and assignments as per course schedule; º Providing feedback on student performance on an ongoing basis; º Preparing supplementary course materials; º Adhering to Extended Education policies and procedures. Access to a personal computer is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications :

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a suitable combination of post-secondary education, professional certification and work experience in the field of project management. In addition, applicants should have experience in adult learning and teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized. Applicants must be committed to life-long learning and embrace a learner-centered approach to teaching. The ability to engage students in their learning environment and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of the position. Assets also include experience instructing at a post-secondary level, using teaching & learning technology (e.g. Desire2Learn), and demonstrated leadership skills.
