Responsibilities :

This course introduces students to contemporary business management in the Canadian context. Students will gain knowledge and practical experience in the management functions of planning, organizing, directing and controlling the business functions of personnel, marketing, production and finance. The responsibilities of the position include: º Creating original student assessments and exams including alternate exams as required; º Grading and returning of exams and assignments as per course schedule; º Providing feedback on student performance on an ongoing basis; º Preparing supplementary course materials; º Adhering to Extended Education policies and procedures. Access to a personal computer is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications :

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a suitable combination of post-secondary education, professional certification and work experience in the field of business. In addition, applicants should have experience in adult learning and teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized. Applicants must be committed to life-long learning and embrace a learner-centered approach to teaching. The ability to engage students in their learning environment and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of the position. Assets also include experience instructing at a post-secondary level, using teaching & learning technology (e.g. Desire2Learn), and demonstrated leadership skills.
