Job Description :

Instructor Positions Financial Management FINC 0300 Extended Education is seeking one or more experienced, academically credentialed, subject matter experts to instruct Financial Management. This course is designed to provide a broad overview of corporate finance and capital markets. It will introduce managerial finance, demonstrate how it relates to other functions of the organization and describe the role of finance in achieving organizational objectives. The focus of this course will be on tools for managerial decision making, which will include topics such as financial statement analysis, management of working capital, capital budgeting, short-term and long-term funding and cost of capital.

Responsibilities :

The responsibilities of the position include in-class instruction to adult learners, student assessment including grading and providing supplementary curriculum resources. Access to a personal computer is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications :

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a suitable combination of post-secondary education, professional certification and work experience in the applicable field. In addition, applicants should have experience in adult learning and teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized. Applicants must be committed to life-long learning and embrace a learner-centered approach to teaching. The ability to engage students in their learning environment and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of the position. Assets also include experience instructing at a post-secondary level, using teaching and learning technology (e.g. UMLearn), and demonstrated leadership skills.
