IT Client Service Manager (CSM), responsible for managing and providing day-to-day leadership to team of direct report Field Engineers dedicated to delivering support to client locations within the assigned region. CSM will be responsible for delivering services within the service levels of the contractual scope of work including end user satisfaction and other account measures. Performance management of direct reports will be the responsibility of the CSM through Management by Objectives which are reviewed individually twice annually with direct reports. CSM will be one of a team of CSMs located around the country who are all dedicated to providing services to this customer.

Key Responsibilities

Daily interaction with the client, handling escalations, attending meetings and providing overall leadership to the team.

Provides direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance. Reviews work of subordinates upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Interprets and executes policies and procedures typically affecting subordinates/direct reports. Accomplishes results through experienced field services employees, providing guidance, coordination and direction to direct reports.

Will be responsible for one or more of the following:

1) Managing the activities of technicians who are delivering high quality installation and ongoing maintenance services to assigned customers,

2) The overall development/growth, implementation and operational effectiveness regarding service delivery issues and requirements,

3) Executing corporate objectives that include but not limited to cost control/containment

Technical and Behavioral Skills

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • Must be able to clear extensive background check and be security cleared by the Canadian government to the level required by our clients
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role leading a team of Field Engineer personnel.
  • Knowledge of Windows XP, 2007 and Active Directory.
  • Familiar with ITSM and Request Management systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office/Outlook.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Strong analytical skills, communication skills (verbal and written), and customer relationship skills.
  • Able to direct/lead onsite team towards achieving SLA targets for resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Prior experience with project management preferred
  • Escalation management experience required.
  • Strong "management" presence desired with a good balance of task-focused and customer-focused skills.
