Job Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Various aspects of month end reporting such as journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis on actual results to budget, monitoring interfacing systems are properly uploading
• The above responsibilities will apply to several business units across head office and/or retail operations
• Initial review of all balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis
• Maintain and review all balances of key financials for various banners within the organization
• Updating our internal financial system with all relevant month end information and data.
• Continuous improvement of department
• Ensuring deadlines are met
• Other duties as required
• Accounting Diploma or degree, intent of pursuing an accounting designation in the future is an asset
• 6 months to 1.5 years of general accounting experience preferably in the Retail sector
• JD Edwards software experience would be an asset
• Required Skills and Abilities:
