True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Venue Security Guard to join our team.
The Venue Security Guard – Metal Detector will preform a wide range of duties to ensure public and facility safety.
What to be excited for in this role: • Enforce facility regulations to provide a secure environment for all employees, visitors and patrons.
- Maintain order within and around the facility.
- Maintain access control into venue and restricted areas, as set out by the event that is taking place. Assist in pat downs, bag
searches and use of metal detectors.
- Maintain and ensure all safety measures and emergency measures and procedures are adhered to.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time by Supervisors/ Management.
- Complete detailed reports of all incidents as required.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
What we need from you: • Experience in the security field at an entertainment facility is considered an asset.
- Good working knowledge of crowd control requirements/training an asset.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must possess sound judgement and be of solid character.
- Must provide a clean criminal record check as well as a child abuse registry check.
- Must have a security license or be licensable under provincial security guard legislation.
- Willingness, ability, and availability to work any days of the week and starting work as early as 6:00am.
- Be of good physical condition to conduct a variety of physically challenging duties.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
