This will be a 12 month Maternity Coverage with a focus on Health and Safety and HR functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

EHS Administrator
You are responsible for the administration, recordkeeping, marking and the following up of Orientation, Health & Safety Training program for new and existing employees

You are accountable for making sure all training is kept current and that all branch employees have completed their training

Participate in the monthly Joint Health and Safety Committee meeting, be a back up to the National EHS Manager in case of absence

Update and keep the Health & Safety Training Exam Package updated and current

Administer the annual renewal health and safety training program for all Troy employees at year end

Assist with the implementation and attaining the EHS goals and expectations

Schedule Examinations for employees

Any other duties assigned

HR ADMINISTRATOR
Perform a wide variety of responsible clerical, technical, administrative, and office support duties in support of the VP Human Resources and the Human Resource Administrator

Provide customer service in-person, by telephone and by email; answer questions from employees regarding human resources issues, rules, regulations and policies.

Maintain personnel records ensuring timely and accurate records

Research, compile, and analyze data for special personnel projects and reports

Operate a variety of office equipment including computer, copier, telephone; utilize various computer applications and software packages

Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records and reports

Work under steady pressure with frequent interruptions and a high degree employee/branch contact by phone, email and/or in person

Responsible for issuing, tracking, and documenting human resource training for all Troy employees; Union and Non-Union

Main contact for recruitment for all 30 branches across the country; HR mailbox, screen resumes, post open jobs to job boards, telephone interview, reference check and forwards resumes to managers for their approval

Perform related duties and assignments as assigned

Qualifications
English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation
College diploma or related technical experience in a related field
Good communication and interpersonal skills are critical
Good typing skills are required
Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel & Outlook

Required experience:

  • Human Resources: 1 year
