YOU ARE:

You are a self-motivated certified Journeyman Electrician with experience leading a team and managing projects. You are a natural born leader who champions a company culture of performance and innovation and encourages communication and teamwork. Your strong technical knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills will help you effectively influence others and lead the Operations Department across Canada for our growing organization.

You like to do things right and do them well. A hands-on manager, you lead by example with a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. YOU WILL:

• Manage and lead the growing Operations Department including 4 direct reports and 5 indirect reports, ensuring effective communication between administration and shop team members.
• Use your strong electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to provide direction to team members, and input on best practice and solutions.
• Implement and oversee site safety programs and ensure that policies and procedures are being followed with care and attention.
• Make decisions based on safety and client best interest, executing these with confidence and conviction.
• Investigate all accidents or incidents, including those related to Workers Compensation.
• Establish QAQC priorities and execute prior to rental of any asset, maintaining records and updating the Trinity database.
• Support the sourcing of materials and contractors for all facilities and act as the decision maker and point of contact for related activities.
• Support new product design or existing product upgrades / changes through collaborative process with design team and stakeholders as required.
• Work with our ERP to define operating procedures and enhance Trinity Power’s workflow.
• Lead by example through team member engagement and encouragement of Trinity Power culture and values for a positive, people-first work environment.

YOU HAVE:

• Certified Journeyman Electrician
• Minimum 10 years electrical experience, including 2 years managing a team
• Commercial and industrial electrical experience
• Mechanical aptitude, including welding and manufacturing, is considered an asset
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP is considered an asset
• Knowledge and experience of high (above 750Volts) and low voltage transformation, distribution, protection, automatic starting equipment and power line systems and their related testing and installation methods
• Strong ability to communicate about technical problems clearly and concisely, verbal and written
• Comprehensive knowledge of current Canadian Electrical Code and other relevant legislation
• Strong understanding of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions required under Work Safe BC OHS regulations
• Must possess and maintain a Driver’s License, valid in BC
