The incumbent will contribute to the attainment of operational objectives in his sector by performing the tasks assigned to him. He collaborates with colleagues, demonstrates adaptability to change, is tolerant, receptive, and listens to others and customers. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing Web and project strategies aiming to develop and maintain Web platforms of the distribution network. More specifically, the responsibilities of the position are as follows.

Responsibilities

  • With the various suppliers, coordinate the steps to follow for technology implementation;
  • Test tools and platforms in the pre-launch phase in order to deliver a turnkey tool. Also responsible for troubleshooting;
  • Participate in the development of technical training for travel professionals with the help of the department providing service to members in training;
  • Maintain watch on various platforms to ensure their proper functioning;
  • Provide the various follow-ups to our (network) user clientele and to our internal clientele;
  • Provide technical consulting service to agencies and internally as needed;
  • Provide project follow-up with the various participants;
  • Elaborate presentation documents;
  • Analyze the competition and maintain various statistical reports for management;
  • Develop presentation documents, give presentations;
  • Draft communications;
  • Integrate Web platform content, maintain booking engines;
  • Integration of content on web platforms;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Requirements

  • DCS (DEC) or any other studies considered relevant;
  • Minimum 3 years of Web experience;
  • Bilingualism essential (English and French);
  • Good writing ability (English and French);
  • Able to manage more than one file at a time;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Good knowledge of HTML and photoshop;
  • Knowledge of social media;
  • Good knowledge of reservations systems and of the Softvoyage environment;
  • Great attention to detail;
  • Project management and coordination;
  • Customer centric;
  • Results oriented;
  • Knowledge of the travel industry and the distribution segment (an asset).
