JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You’re a grasshopper and keen pupil, learning how to manage Store teams in Sales, helping out Customers with whatever they need and making sure everything is easy to find and looks great in our giant toy chest.

‘Play is discovery’ is the mission you drive along with our vision and philosophy, and you do so in up to three Departments. Others lean on you for support as you help fellow teammates grow through constructive feedback and coaching.

This is an hourly paid Management position, where the hours can flex.

Responsibilities include: Driving Sales § Analyzes sales reports to identify sales opportunities § Analyzes sales data and observes selling behaviour to determine coaching and training opportunities § Holds self and team members accountable for results § Monitors stock situation and take appropriate action § Meets weekly with management team to generate plans for achieving budgeted sales § Observes ongoing sales activity, Buyer Protection Plan and Babies“R”Us Registry results and provides appropriate feedback and direction People Development § Ensures all employees receive appropriate training § Works with Management to ensure all new Employees receive a thorough orientation to TRU § Supports Management in the delivery of on-going training and follow up as required § Works with Management to create a customer focused culture in their Store § Assists Management in interviews and candidate selection § Provides positive and corrective feedback to Employees on a daily basis Operations and Communication § Conducts regular audits of their World(s) and takes appropriate action where required § Identifies and communicates any systems and processes that hinder sales performance § Works with Vendors and Associates to ensure all visual merchandising reflects TRU’s brand image and meets our standards § Ensures their Worlds are prepared for any flyers/promotions § Holds Associates accountable to compliance to all TRU policies and procedures § Ensuring Health and Safety, Harassment and Loss Prevention training and compliance within the Store § Role models 100% compliance to all Health and Safety, Harassment and Loss Prevention regulations, policies and procedures § Takes reasonable steps to ensure the safety of workers and the public § Maintains a safe work environment through regular Health and Safety committee meetings, workplace inspections, accident reporting and investigations WE OFFER:
