Job Summary:
Toyota Canada Inc. currently has an exciting opportunity for an automotive enthusiast to support our Product Quality and Service Support department. This is a permanent, full time opportunity and will report to the Manager, Technical Information. The selected candidate will provide timely technical assistance to help dealer technicians fix problem vehicles, will provide on-the-spot assistance and training (dealer visits) to service technicians to maintain customer satisfaction; will document and recognize critical situations, quality issues, and report to manufacturing to obtain quick resolution or countermeasure; and will maintain and build technical assistance database to assist technicians in resolving unusual conditions.

What you’ll be doing:
Provide timely technical assistance to help dealer technicians repair problem vehicles.
Continuous follow up of unsolved technical problems.
Report and record certain conditions that pertain to quality or customer satisfaction.
Maintain, and update technical assistance database.
Coordinate QA, CR and other related departments request issues.
Self-improvement by acquiring latest technology, method and hands-on practice.
Other duties as required

What you bring:
University/College diploma/degree in an automotive technical, business or related discipline.
Holds a Certificate of Proficiency as a Motor Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician. Also a certificate of completion of apprenticeship (inter provincial seal)
10-years’ automotive work experience, 2-years in technical training (optional). Knowledge on diesel and alternative fuel vehicles an asset.
Sound technical knowledge of automotive electronics and diagnostic procedure and strong problem solving ability.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good understanding and computer working knowledge.
Possible occasional travel required to conduct Dealer Visits
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
