Job Summary:
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant, Pricing and Field Support to support our Service Marketing department. This is a full time, permanent opportunity and will report to the Manager Sales Planning & Analysis. The selected candidate will maintain TCI Parts Price System (TOPSCAN), manage price updates and address pricing issues with suppliers. They will also, conduct in-depth product/pricing analysis to determine short-term and long-term parts profitability strategies, support Aeroplan with ad-hoc reporting/research and maintain/distribute the shop activity report.

What you’ll be doing:
Maintains Parts Pricing System through the email inbox with a thorough knowledge of TOPSCAN and parts pricing structure on a daily basis.
Monitors the Aeroplan Program on the Service Retention side, through the email inbox, and Service Marketing on reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
Support Service Marketing through pre & post campaign analysis on various campaigns.
Manages the Landcruiser ordering and discount program with dealers.
Liaisons with Direct-to-Dealer vendors to coordinate price changes and support promotional offers.
Monitors price fluctuations, prepares summary report and contacts vendors with request for explanation or price adjustment
Monitors NRPC (non-recoverable parts cost) parts and makes recommendations for price optimization to minimize warranty cost
Conducts in-depth analysis for developing parts pricing strategies to maximize parts profitability
Prepares price files and coordinates price change implementations while identifying process improvements.
Manages the creation and distribution of the monthly Parts Pricing Catalogue to all Toyota and Lexus dealers and outside vendors.
Tracks key product sales and profits on parts from all sources including TMC, NAPO and local sourced.
Prepares reports/analysis to monitor Parts profits, sales, trending, etc. This includes weekly reporting on Shop Activity & Aeroplan Activities, as well as Monthly reporting on Shop Activity, Aeroplan, & Weather reporting.
Prepares reports/analysis to monitors dealers’ parts and service performance and identify underperforming dealers.
Establishes and presents counterproposals regarding price deficiencies to management
Coordinates receipt, interpretation and actions regarding parts pricing inquiries from both internal and external customers
Assists in handling Direct-to-Dealer invoicing discrepancies, dealer claims and core returns.
Initiates and implements appropriate ‘kaizen’ (continuous improvement) efforts which results in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies
Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

What you bring:
University degree or College diploma in business or a related discipline
3 years related automotive experience, preferably within parts and service area
Strong analytical skills (ability to analyze data to identify trends and variances) and attention to detail
Strong Knowledge of Excel and Access is required
Background in data analysis, data sources, data warehouse and business sense
Familiarity with database concepts, SQL queries, joins and programming an asset preferred
Good understanding of automotive components and terminology
Understanding of dealer parts and service operations is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills (i.e. report writing)
Proven business partnering experience of successfully working with internal and external customers
Self-starter with proven organizational skills
Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
