As a key member of the Facility Management team, the Recreation Coordinator provides supervision to all full time, contract and part time program staff and coordinates and oversees work for the various recreational program areas while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

Reporting directly to the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Coordinator is responsible for for effectively administering, supervising and managing various recreational programs including youth, preschool, seniors, accessible recreation, adults and summer camps, execution of marketing and sales plans, financial accountability and community outreach.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a dynamic leader with a demonstrated understanding of customer service best practices, recreation service delivery, and business planning. The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in Recreation (or closely related) and certification with HIGH FIVE. Your training is complimented by your 4 years of experience in recreation with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. You have superior interpersonal, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a commitment to providing quality recreational programs to the community.

Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
