Reporting directly to the Manager, Court Services the Collections Coordinator, POA is responsible for undertaking collection activities related to fines imposed by the Ontario Court of Justice in accordance with the Provincial Offences Act. The successful candidate will ensure that all available enforcement methods are utilized, monitor the integrity of the electronic collection database and perform statistical analysis. The Collections Coordinator, POA will prepare financial reconciliation of POA default account activities, review current collection processes of other collection units and work with the manager regarding future policies and strategies. With regular exposure to contentious situations, the successful candidate will exercise discretion, diplomacy and tact when dealing with the public, contract service providers and court stakeholders.
The Ideal Canadidate

We are seeking an organized professional with a post-secondary diploma in Law, Accounting or closely related field. The successful candidate must have a minimum 4 years experience in a Provincial Offences adminsitration office including 1 year of experience in collection of unpaid fines. We are seeking an excellent communicator with the ability to multitask and build relationships with stakeholders. The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of Ontario Court processes, ICON and CAMS, the Provincial Offences Act and related legislation.
