General Accountability

The Multimedia Designer, Arts & Culture will support the activities of the Arts & Culture department. The incumbent will generate onscreen content for all onstage operations of PANAMANIA LIVE presented by CIBC at Nathan Phillips Square, CIBC Pan Am Park at Exhibition Place and the Victory Celebrations presented by CIBC at Nathan Phillips Square.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Create an onscreen inventory for two multi-stage cultural programming venues
  • Incorporate all sponsorship messaging, informational content, artist introductions and engaging entertainment content into onscreen visuals for each venue
  • Create onscreen graphics for 20 daily Victory Celebrations, a 30-minute tribute to medal winning athletes each day.
  • Strictly adhere to the official TO2015 branding guidelines.
  • Work with the Official Languages department of TO2015 to ensure that all three official languages are represented in all onscreen content.
  • Deliver onscreen content in a timely fashion so that translations can be effected.
  • Manage the ongoing development of all content; implement all edits mandated by senior staff and sponsorship department
  • Track all versions of the content and ensure updated versions are issued to the appropriate staff for approvals
  • Adhere to the deliverables schedule and meet all deadlines for revisions
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational/Technical Requirements

  • Proven track record of generating and managing the creation of onscreen digital content
  • Demonstrated ability to generate engaging and aesthetically sophisticated onscreen content
  • Demonstrated ability to generate onscreen content that can motivate and focus a large outdoor audience
  • Strong research skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with varying electronic file formats and presentation development
  • Strong skills with Motion Design/Graphics, After Effects, Animation and Broadcast Design
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and managing conflicting priorities and work demands
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills to deal effectively with all levels of staff and stakeholders along with the ability to handle sensitive issues
  • Must be flexible to work long hours in peak periods and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required
